The talk, which is being run by Market Harborough based Archway Health Hub and the government funded initiative, Workplace Wellbeing, is now taking place on Wednesday, March 9, from 9.30am to 10.30am at Archway Health on Lubenham Hill.

Andrew Harris of Workplace Wellbeing will be offering advice on strategies for improving health and happiness within the workplace, supported by Alec Welton, owner of Archway Health, who will be talking about how techniques such as mindfulness can help people deal with stress in the workplace.

Chiropractors Connor Salter and Tracy Dixon-Maynard, founder of ergonomic and health assessment company Positura (www.positura.uk) will also be at the event to advise on posture and setting up work stations efficiently. Bad backs and postural problems are one of the most common causes of staff absence in the workplace.

Andrew Harris commented: “Staff wellbeing is key to performance, morale and productivity, which means that taking care of your staff is a wise investment.

“In fact, absence through illness, stress or physical ailments such as a bad back costs the UK economy an estimated £29 billion every year.

“Statistics show that implementing a workplace programme can increase productivity by up to 20 per cent - as well as reducing absence through illness.”
