Kilworth House Hotel and Theatre raises nearly £70,000 for Rainbows

Kilworth House Hotel and Theatre has raised the roof for Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People with a donation of £69,365.

The venue near Lutterworth adopted the hospice in 2014 as its Charity of the Year, a partnership which has spanned across two years.

A range of fundraising has been taking place with one of the big money-makers being the open air theatre at Kilworth. To combat those chilly summer evenings, Kilworth hired out its red blankets to theatre goers which raised £7,000 alone. And voluntary addition of £1 to restaurant bills raised over £8,000.

Owners Celia and Richard Mackay were delighted to hand over the donation to Rainbows. Celia said: “We want to thank all of our guests once again for their wholehearted support of the fundraising for Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People, a wonderful local charity that fully deserves the support of all the people of the East Midlands.”
