An injured driver was cut free from his wrecked van by firefighters after a two-vehicle crash on the A14 this morning (Monday).

The trapped van driver was freed by firefighters and is thought to have been taken to hospital but he was not seriously injured.

Rush-hour early morning traffic quickly backed up as the road was shut while firefighters from Kettering and Rugby as well as police and ambulances attended the accident.
