Hundreds of people have been hit by a power cut in Market Harborough this morning.

The blackout has hit about 170 homes on the town’s Southern Estate and Farndon Fields estate.

Western Power Distribution became aware of the serious outage at 8.25am.

The power cut has struck the following postcodes:

LE16 9GG, LE16 9GA, LE16 8NL, LE16 9GD, LE16 9GE, LE16 9GB, LE16 9HW, LE16 8NF, LE16 9HF, LE16 8NB.

Specialist teams are working to try to get power restored by 10am.
