Hundreds gather to watch the Flying Scotsman's historic journey
Large crowds gathered on low and high points as the famous train - the first steam locomotive in the world to reach speeds of 100mph - chugged across the viaduct in Harringworth at 10.30am on Saturday.

Hide AdTravelling from London to York, following its decade-long £4.2 million restoration, the 60103 engine crossed into the county from Bedfordshire and passed through Wellingborough train station. It then stopped at Kettering station to pick up passengers - where it was delayed as it had to refill with water - before steaming on through Corby station and finally - 30 minutes late - chugging across the viaduct’s 82 arches.
