Ha Ha Harborough returns to theatre

The next Ha Ha Harborough comedy evening takes place at Harborough Theatre on Saturday, March 26.

The headliner for the event is Pippa Evans.

She has been described by The Guardian as: “Like Dolly Parton seen through the lens of Mike Leigh.

“She performs brilliantly observed songs about love, loss and violent revenge.”

Pippa was runner-up in the 2008 Hackney Empire new act final, and a finalist in Funny Women the same year.

She has been a regular improvisation performer with Improvedy and the Scratch Players. Among her many credits are The Now Show on BBC Radio 4.

Supporting acts on the evening include Manchester comedian Rachel Fairburn, who has performed at Harborough Theatre previously, and Adam Rushton.

Rachel started doing stand up in January 2007, and was a finalist in both the Funny Women and City Life North-West Comedian Of The Year competitions the following year.

The event is compered by Alan Seaman.

The show starts at 8.30pm and the doors open at 7.45pm.
