The 2016 Carnival on Saturday June 11 coincides with the Queen’s official birthday.

So get those entries pouring in - Carnival Queens must be aged 12 to 16; Prince and Princesses aged five to 11.

All entries should contain name, contact details and age, and a head and shoulders photograph.

Send entries to this address: Holly House, 51 Northampton Road, Market Harborough, LE16 9HB.

Or you can privately message entries to the Market Harborough Carnival’s Facebook page.

Carnival Queen competition organiser Suzanne Leete said: “The Carnival Queen has to be someone with a good personality who wants to do something for the community and promote the town.

“The younger ones, they get to be royal for the day!”

The closing date for entries in both categories is March 25.
