Generous Eileen's mad dash is in aid of foodbank
Harborough woman Eileen Dewick won the first prize in the annual draw organised by the Rotary Club of Kibworth and Fleckney.
The club said more than £2,000 was raised, mainly for the Leicestershire-based Rainbows Children’s Hospice, in the run-up to the event which saw club members selling tickets for nine days.

Last year the winner donated the contents to a local foodbank, and kind-hearted Eileen followed suit and collected a trolley full of non-perishable items for a foodbank in Leicester from Sainsbury’s in Harborough.
Graham Thompson, from the Rotary Club, said: “More than £2,000 was raised, the majority of which will be donated to Rainbows Children’s Hospice and the remainder to Voluntary Action South Leicestershire Young Carers.
“The Rotary Club thanks all those who supported our fundraising this year.”
The Kibworth and Fleckney Rotary Club has about 35 members. The group meets at Kibworth Golf Club on Tuesday evenings.
