Flood engineers on standby as heavy rain forecast
Flood engineers from Severn Trent Water are on standby as heavy rain is due to hit the area.
Flash floods have already struck the south east of the country, and as such the company is on extra alert to deal with any sewer flooding in the coming hours.
A spokesman from Severn Trent said: “We hope that the worst won’t happen but, if it does, we’re ready to help.”
