Organised by Race Harborough, the Pancake Mile will start and finish outside Gallone’s Ice Cream Parlour in Adam and Eve Street.

The mile long pavement run begins at 6pm.

The event is open to all ages and standards.

Participants will have the option of bringing their own pancakes to flip whilst running the route, alternatively runners can use the race as an attempt to get a personal best. After finishing, runners will receive a freshly made pancake, supplied by the race’s sponsor Gallone’s.

Co-organiser Brian Corcoran commented: “The Pancake Mile is going to be a great evening.

“Whilst we regularly hold events that are very competitive, due to its distance this one is suitable for everybody. Although it’s optional, we hope that a lot of runners take on the challenge of running the mile while flipping their pancake.”

Race Harborough are expecting all levels of runners to register. Entry cost is £5 per person and it must be made in advance, this can be done at www.raceharborough.co.uk. Places are limited.
