An angry passing cyclist from Market Harborough told the Harborough Mail: “This is just disgusting.
“It’s an utter disgrace that these louts think they can just come along and dump their horrible rubbish where ever they like.”
She added: “This is a lovely neck of the woods.

“It’s heartbreaking to see idiots with no regard or respect for our stunning environment or our wildlife what so ever tip their unwanted waste in the middle of our countryside.
“They are simply eco-criminals and should be punished as hard as the law allows.”

The two separate mounds of waste are now to be removed urgently by Daventry District Council work crews after the authority was alerted by the Mail.
In a separate incident the following day, a load of black plastic bin bags and domestic household rubbish were dumped on a grass verge on Green Lane, Billesdon, in the north of Harborough district.
