A driver was rushed to hospital after his car left the A6 near Kibworth on Sunday night.

The trapped man was cut out of his wrecked Ford Focus Zetec by firefighters after he went into a field at about 7.45pm.

Harborough police, who attended the crash, are carrying out an investigation into the single-vehicle incident.

The A6 was shut between Great Glen and Kibworth for two hours on Sunday night as emergency services worked at the scene.
