“I’ve lost nearly two stone in weight, training for this event” admitted Dr Blake (55).
“I’m approaching the day with a bit of trepidation, and hoping for a nice day with the wind behind me.”

Hide AdDrs Blake and Bishop will split their sponsor money equally between the HPB Unit and The Bower House Counselling Service on Coventry Road, Market Harborough, which helps people with mental health issues.
Event organiser Cris Pollard, who works at the HPB Unit at Leicester General Hospital, is also from Market Harborough.
She said: “The HPB team at Leicester General regularly conducts research which is very costly and rarely funded by the NHS.
“Last year we raised an astonishing £42,544 and 100 per cent of this money is used to support ongoing research which we hope will benefit patients everywhere in the country.”
