The woman was rushed to hospital after the accident happened at the junction of Dingley Road and Sutton Road in Great Bowden at 2.20pm.

The cyclist was taken to Kettering General Hospital with “non life-threatening or life-changing” injuries, said Leicestershire Police today.

The road was shut as the accident was dealt with by the 999 services before it was re-opened just after 4pm.
