And it comes after trouble and anti-social behaviour has flared and damage caused at both Little Bowden Recreation Ground and Welland Park in Market Harborough over the last few weeks.

Harborough District Council is urging anyone with any information about the vandalism at Bellfields rec to contact police as officers pledged to replace the bollards.

A council spokesman said: “Unfortunately, these bollards have been vandalised.

“Our contractor has made them safe and we are looking to replace them as soon as possible.

“We would appeal to anyone with information about this incident to contact police.”
