Two teenagers arrested over drug offences after they were spotted 'acting suspiciously' park in a Harborough park

The two suspects have now been released under investigation as further enquiries are carried out into the incident

Two teenagers have been quizzed about drug offences after they were arrested by police at a popular park in Market Harborough.

The boys, aged 17 and 18, were detained by officers at Little Bowden Recreation Ground, off Northampton Road.

They were held after being searched by police.

Officers went to the park, which is popular with families, runners and dog walkers, after being tipped off by concerned members of the public about suspicious behaviour.

A quantity of suspected Class A and Class B drugs was seized by police.

The two suspects have now been released under investigation as further enquiries are carried out into the incident.

Police are urging people to continue to report suspected criminal behaviour both in Market Harborough and throughout Harborough district.
