A suspected burglar has been arrested after two people were threatened at knifepoint at a house in Kibworth last night (Monday).
The man is being questioned by detectives today after the terrifying incident shortly after 6pm at the house in Kibworth Beauchamp.

Hide AdPolice said they raced to the scene after a man “forced his way into a property in Church Road and threatened the two occupants with a knife”.
The armed intruder ordered them to hand over personal items at knifepoint.
One of the occupants was eventually able to force him out of the front door and he ran off.
Police investigating the burglary have arrested a 35-year-old man at an address in Leicester on “suspicion of aggravated burglary”.

Hide AdHe is now in custody being quizzed about the offence, police said.
Officers are now appealing for anyone who spotted the burglar or who has any information about the crime to contact them urgently.
Det Sgt Tom Brenton, of Leicestershire Police’s Complex Investigation Team, said: “While we have arrested one person in connection with this incident – which I hope will provide some reassurance to the local community – our investigation is still in its early stages.
“I would therefore ask anyone who was in Church Road or the surrounding area yesterday evening to come forward.

He added: “I would also like to speak to anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage.
