Police stopped 22 drivers for a range of offences during special operation in Harborough

Police stopped 22 drivers for a range of offences as they staged a special operation in Market Harborough yesterday (Thursday) to crack down on motoring crimes.

Traffic officers carried out the FATAL4 enforcement exercise on Springfield Street on the edge of the town centre.

Fourteen drivers were not wearing seatbelts; six were using mobile phones at the wheel; one was using a mobile phone and not wearing a seatbelt; one was using a mobile phone and did not have a driving licence.
