Officers said they initially “stop checked” a silver saloon in the Harborough village “due to its poor condition”.

They reported the driver “for driving with an expired provisional licence, no insurance or MoT and failing to update the DVLA of her address change”.

Police added: “Expensive drive to the shops!

“Seized too!”

Officers then intercepted a red convertible sports car in Broughton Astley as they waited to have the silver motor taken away on Friday September 4.

“Whilst waiting for recovery of vehicle one in Broughton Astley, this one presented itself too,” said Harborough police.

“Revoked Driving Licence too equals a walk home!"
