Police seize drugs during a raid at a Harborough flat
Officers raided the property this morning (Friday) after a tip-off
Police have seized a small quantity of drugs after carrying out a raid at a flat in Market Harborough this morning (Friday).
Officers swooped on the property in Shrubbery Court on the edge of the town centre at about 8am today.
They targeted the flat after being tipped off by suspicious members of the public.
Two people were present and were both given community resolutions.
“Following information received from the community, officers executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at a flat in Shrubbery Court this morning at around 8am (11 June),” said Leicestershire Police.
“A small quantity of drugs were recovered."
Update: Police initially said that suspected Class A drugs were found and the no one was in the property. They have now corrected this and stated that two people were in fact in the property and both were given community resolutions (which means no further action will be taken). They also said that drugs were found, rather than suspected Class A drugs. They have not said what drugs were found.
