Police seized cannabis and a suspected amount of cocaine at a house in Market Harborough today (Monday).

Police carried out the operation as they executed a magistrates’ warrant at the property under section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.

“On entering the address, officers found cannabis and a small quantity of what was believed to be cocaine.

“A 39-year-old man from Market Harborough was arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis with intent to supply,” said Leicestershire Police.

“He remains in custody and enquiries are continuing.”

Harborough police tweeted: “A successful magistrates warrant executed at an address in Market Harborough by local neighbourhood officers and the local proactive team.

“A substantial amount of drugs recovered and one person arrested and taken to custody in Leicester. #crimedoesntpay”
