Motorist spotted driving poorly in Broughton Astley turned out to be over double the drink-drive limit

A driver arrested in a Harborough village because they were driving poorly was found to be over double the drink-drive limit.
The motorist was breathalysed after being detained by a police patrol in Broughton Astley on Sunday night.
Their motor was also seized because they had no insurance.

Harborough police tweeted: “Vehicle stopped in Broughton Astley due to poor manner of driving.
“Arrested as double the drink-drive limit.
“Even higher reading an hour later in custody, court date to follow.
“Vehicle seized as uninsured.”
The drink-drive limit is 80 milligrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood, 35 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath or 107 milligrammes per 100 millilitres of urine.
