Man charged after leading police on 60-minute chase, passing through Market Harborough and ending in Rugby

A man has been accused of dangerous driving after a high-speed police car chase involving Market Harborough.

Thomas Elliott, 30, of Merrycot Lane, Yelvertoft, Northants, has also been charged with driving without insurance.

Elliott is due to appear before magistrates, Northamptonshire Police said.

The dramatic 60-minute cross-country pursuit began in Northampton at about 4.45pm on Monday April 20.

A BMW 3-series car was chased by police through Market Harborough and nearby villages East Farndon and Great Oxendon before a man was arrested in Rugby an hour later.
