A man accused of stabbing a man in the arm in Desborough last Friday (November 6) has been sent for trial.

Matthew Lee, 27, of Nunnery Avenue, Rothwell, appeared at Northampton magistrates’ court yesterday (Monday) charged with Section 18 – Wounding with Intent.

Lee was remanded in custody as he was sent to be tried at Northampton Crown Court on Wednesday December 9.

The 40-year-old local victim was rushed to University of Coventry Hospital after he was attacked in Harrington Road, Desborough, just after 11am last Friday.
