Harborough man arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after car crashes into a hedge

A Market Harborough man was arrested by police today (Friday) on suspicion of drink-driving after a car crashed into a hedge.

The man aged in his 20s was held after police and ambulance crews attended the single-vehicle accident on Cranoe Road, Tur Langton, near Kibworth Beauchamp, at 7.50am today.

The driver was taken to hospital after he was injured.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing, said Leicestershire Police.

There was nobody else in the car – which is believed to be a write-off.

“A Market Harborough man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving. The road was closed while emergency services responded at the scene and has since been reopened,” said police.

“The vehicle has been recovered.”
