They include sending money to allow captured militants to escape from prison camps in Syria and compiling and distributing a terrorist publication.

Chaudhary, who was arrested under the Terrorism Act by anti-terrorist police last month, did not appear at the Old Bailey on Friday.

Instead he was represented at the hearing by a solicitor.

Chaudhary was remanded in custody to appear at Nottingham Crown Court in March next year for a plea hearing.
