A burglar has been handed a suspended jail sentence after he stole items from a town centre shop in Market Harborough.

Paul Alayla, 49, was given a 10-week prison term suspended for 12 months by magistrates after he targeted Blend Coffee and Cakes on Manor Walk in Market Harborough.

Alayla, of Jubilee Gardens, Market Harborough, admitted carrying out the burglary last Friday (June 4).

He stole a till, milk and hand soap.

Alayla was sentenced at Leicester magistrates’ court yesterday (Monday).
