Burglars who stole over £16,000 worth of camera equipment from a house in Desborough are being hunted by police.

Police are appealing for any eye-witnesses to come forward urgently after the kit was stolen from the home in Linley Drive, Desborough.

The burglars struck in broad daylight between 6.30pm and 7pm on Saturday, August 8.

The raiders got in to the property via a rear door and pinched a beige Billingham 555 camera bag from the kitchen.

The bag was stashed with two Leica SF60 Flash valued at £900, a Leica SL 90-280mm Vario Elmarit camera serial number 4572888 worth £4,000 and a Leica SL 75MM camera serial number 4709364 valued at £3,600.

A Leica SL 35MM Camera serial number 4719663 worth £3,500, a Leica SL camera serial number 5178450 valued at £3,250 and a £275 Leica remote control unit SFC1 were also taken.

“Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this incident, who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in Linley Drive between the stated times or who may have been offered such items for sale in unusual circumstances,” said Northamptonshire Police.
