Boy, 15, arrested in connection with suspected knife attack in Kibworth

A boy of 15 has been arrested by police today (Monday) after a teenager was injured in a suspected knife attack in a park in Kibworth Beauchamp.
The suspect from Leicester was detained by officers investigating the “attempted robbery” in Kibworth Park on Saturday afternoon.

The teenager remains in custody as he is questioned about the incident.
The assault happened between 2.30pm and 2.45pm on Saturday at the park in Longbreach Road, known locally as ‘Tin Bridge’.
A fight broke out between a “small group of boys”, said Leicestershire Police.
A 17-year-old boy, believed to live in Kibworth Beauchamp, suffered a “small number of lacerations believed to have been caused by a knife”.

He was taken to Kettering General Hospital with non-life changing injuries to his thumb and elbow before being allowed to go home after treatment.
