Car fire on motorway near Rugby and Lutterworth
Motorists faced delays on Wednesday evening after a car fire on the M1.
The fire was on the southbound side of the motorway, between junctions 19 (for the M6 and A14) and junction 18 (at Crick).
Emergency services shut two of the four lanes to deal with the incident, but traffic on the remaining southbound lanes slowed significantly. Traffic on the northbound side also slowed during the incident.
