An online fundraising effort has been launched to help the family of a Harborough teenager who died in a car crash.

And it has already raised over £5,000.

Ryan Tealby, 17, from Market Harborough, died in a head-on collision in Foxton last week.

He was a rear seat passenger in a silver Volkswagen Polo when it collided head-on with a blue Toyota Avensis in Foxton at about 6pm last Tuesday (Nov 19). Click here for the full story.

Almost 200 loved ones and friends have raised £5,219 through gofundme to help support Ryan’s family, more than doubling the £2,000 target.

Organiser James Longley, of Church Langton, says on the appeal: “We are trying to raise money to support Ryan's family at this terrible time and make things as easy as it can be.

“Any donation will mean so much and help to give Ryan the best send off possible.

“He will be missed dearly by friends and family.

“All funds donated will be given to Ryan's parents.”
