Air ambulance called after pensioner fell down the stairs at his home in Harborough

An elderly man was rushed to hospital after he tumbled down stairs at his home in Market Harborough as the regional air ambulance was scrambled.

Hide AdThe pensioner was injured after he suffered the fall at his house in Little Bowden, just before 4.30pm on Wednesday afternoon (October 28).
The air ambulance landed on the nearby green as 999 services raced to the scene before the man was taken to hospital by land ambulance.
An Air Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Our Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance were called to a male patient who had suspected burns and head injury.
“The crews were activated at 16.27 and on scene at 16.46 where they assessed the patient to have a dermatological condition - he was then conveyed by land ambulance.”
