An environmentally-friendly repair group is lining up more go to events in Market Harborough as it does its bit to save our planet.

And it will be holding a jewellery repair session there at the same time on Saturday November 7.

Steve Cousens, who helps to run the voluntary team, said: “We are dedicated to helping people repair household items and save waste and CO2.

“We are coming back very strongly in Market Harborough after the coronavirus lockdown and we are more fired up than ever.”

He added: “Our workshops always go down a storm here.

“We are always looking for new volunteers as demand for different repair themes continues to soar.”

Steve said they have already headed off a lorryload of materials being tipped straight into landfill sites this autumn as well as preventing a huge amount of carbon dioxide being emitted.
