Bellway site manager wins Seal of Excellence for new homes in Desborough

Bellway senior site manager Cymon Robinson has won a Seal of Excellence for the quality of the homes being built at Weavers Fields in Desborough.
Cymon was presented with his award at the National House Building Council’s Pride in the Job Awards ceremony for the Central region, held in Milton Keynes.
This is yet another honour Cymon has achieved for his exceptional work at Weavers Fields, having won the Pride in the Job Regional Award in the Large Housebuilder category last year.
The 47-year-old from Northampton said: “The Seal of Excellence is really an award for the whole team at Weavers Fields and I can’t thank everyone enough for their support and dedication to the job.
“They have completely bought into my philosophy that we build homes as if we are building them for ourselves and our families. We make sure everything is right first time and we achievethis through attention to detail, setting high standards and ensuring that those standards are met every day and at every single property we build.”
Cymon’s team is building 350 new homes at Weavers Fields off Stoke Road, with the development also planned to include public open space, a children’s play area, allotments and a local centre.
Cymon is one of four site managers from Bellway’s Northern Home Counties division who were recognised for their excellent work at the Central region Pride in the Job ceremony.
His award-winning colleagues were Dan St Hilaire and Michael Crake, who also won Seals of Excellence for their work at New Cardington Fields in Shortstown, and Chamberlains Bridge in Leighton Buzzard respectively – as well as Alan Holmes, who won the Regional Award for his work at New Cardington Gate in Shortstown.
Alan, Dan, Cymon and Michael were among just 15 site managers to achieve the Seal of Excellence this year in the Central region.
Iain Hunter, Construction Director for Bellway Northern Home Counties, said: “We are very proud of our Seal of Excellence winners who are all multiple Pride in the Job award winners thanks to their commitment to quality, day in, day out.
“Build quality is one of the key pillars of Bellway’s Better with Bellway sustainability strategy and these site managers are all exceptional role models, instilling a culture of pride in the job on their sites, particularly among the trainees and assistant site managers who will be the next generation of site managers building the quality homes of the future.”
