Summing it up, the Rev Alison Illiffe, of St Hugh's Church on Granville Street, off Northampton Road, said everyone "will know the hope that the Christ Child brought on that holy night 2,000 years ago".

All the contributors acknowledge how tough 2020 has been.

But they share the belief expressed by Phil and Sharon Chapman from Living Rock Church that "God looks at us with compassion, love and favour”.

The Rev Steven Haward, of the Congregational Church, said that "the power of God's love lasts for ever”.

The video was filmed separately by the contributors and edited and produced by the Rev Andy Murphy, minister of Market Harborough’s Methodist Church.
