Sandie Powner, who specialises in taking photographs of dogs, agreed to take part when fundraisers decided to use a three-legged dog in the images.

The cute pet, called Mr Pelucchi, pronounced ‘pelooky’, is on a mission to raise as much money as possible by producing the calendar in aid of the Our Blue Light Charity, which helps emergency service workers who may be suffering with mental health problems, and the National Emergency Services Museum in Sheffield.

The Yorkshire terrier social media star was trained to pose in cute outfits by his owner, Zoe Le Carpentier, from Maidenhead, in Berkshire.

Vets removed a leg after he struggled with a birth deformity, but social media accounts were set up in an attempt to share Mr Pelucchi’s life on three paws, helping other owners about to go through the decision of amputation.

“I came across Our Blue Light Charity so contacted them to see if they would consider working with Mr Pelucchi on a 2021 calendar,” said Zoe. “Specialist canine photographer Sandie Powner Photography agreed to take the pictures and we hope the calendar sales will bring much needed funding to help our emergency services when they need it.”
