Here's Santa's route around Harborough as he gears up to tour the town's streets this Christmas

You can almost hear the jingle bells ringing already as Santa has published his schedule as he gears up to tour Market Harborough this Christmas.

So now you’ll be able to see exactly when Santa and his sleigh will be coming to your street and passing your house with the big day itself just over a month away.

Father Christmas and his team of trusty reindeer will be setting out at about 6pm on a night and will be finishing by about 9pm.

Santa will be kicking off his grand tour of Market Harborough in Glebe Road, off Kettering Road, Little Bowden, on Thursday December 3.

And he’ll be wrapping it up on Bridgeroom Street on the Farndon Fields estate deep into the evening of Wednesday December 23 as he prepares to come back for real just 48 hours later.

Loved by children and grown-ups alike all over the world, the fabled man in red will be supported as always by volunteers from the 3rd Market Harborough Scouts.

But thrilled little boys and girls won’t be able to go and climb on his sleigh to meet Santa as over the last 52 years.

Excited youngsters are being asked to listen out for the festive music and wave from their doorsteps as the sleigh passes by instead.

Santa’s helpers will also not be knocking on doors for donations.

Donation buckets will be hoisted on the side of the sleigh and you will be able to donate online to the Scouts funds and this year’s chosen charity, the Air Ambulance, via an on-line donation page.
