A church in Market Harborough is opening to welcome back parishioners every Sunday before Christmas.

A special family-friendly Christmas service is to be staged from 11am to 12 noon on December 6, 13 and 20 at the town’s Baptist Church on Coventry Road next to the Co-op.

The Rev Christopher Brown, who will lead every service, said: "We want to invite our community to come and share this special time together.

“They can listen to Christmas carols, enter into the amazing story of Christmas, see the Advent candles shining and lift those we love in prayer to God.”

But numbers will be restricted because of Covid-19 safety measures.

"Our theme is Hope.

“Perhaps more than ever we need to hear again that nothing - not a pandemic, nor economic turmoil, not even death - can separate us from the perfect, powerful and enduring love of God in Jesus Christ," said the Rev Brown.
