People in Harborough are to get the chance to engage in a high-powered health chiefs’ summit to plough £450 million into transforming hospitals in Leicestershire.

You are being invited to attend an Extraordinary Governing Body meeting hosted by Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Clinical Commissioning Groups to be held online on Tuesday June 8.

Regional health leaders will thrash out how they are going to inject a huge pot of £450 million to overhaul and improve Leicester’s hospitals over the next few years.

The pivotal meeting is going ahead after a sweeping public consultation was staged between the end of September and the end of last December.

The high-level event will take place between 1.30pm and 3.30pm.

Members of the public will be welcome to tune in as well having the opportunity to ask questions at the start of the meeting about items on the agenda.
