The number of people with Covid-19 in Harborough has fallen to its lowest level for six months.

Some 37 new cases were reported across the district in the seven days up until Monday (March 29), new Public Health England statistics show.

That’s a drop of 23 on the previous week – and the lowest number since September.

Three new positive tests were recorded on Monday - the lowest number of daily positive tests for six months.

The coronavirus infection rate per 100,000 people in Harborough now stands at 49 – just below the national average – after hitting about 400 at its peak in Leicestershire in late November.
