More than 53,000 Covid vaccination jabs have now been given in Harborough

Some 4,704 people aged 45 to 49 have now had a coronavirus shot across the district as the remarkable rollout continues.

Some 69 per cent of the age group have now had a first dose – and people aged 44 are now being offered a vaccination.

Altogether, 53,506 jabs have now been given in Harborough since December.

So 66 per cent of local adults have received at least one shot.
