More than 250,000 people have now had a Covid-19 vaccination in the Leicestershire area

More than 250,000 people have now had a Covid-19 vaccination in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

Some 56,000 patients have received their shot across the region in the last seven days alone.

And over 168,000 jabs have also been given to people in Northamptonshire.

Everyone aged over 65 is now being urged to come forward to be vaccinated against the coronavirus in Leicestershire now.
