How former police officers, specials and staff are getting behind Leicestershire Police to help combat coronavirus

Public-spirited former police officers, specials and staff are quickly getting behind Leicestershire Police to help combat the coronavirus threat.

The force said it’s receiving daily offers of support during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We have also received offers of help from partner organisations and community groups.

The outbreak is affecting people across our force area,” said Leicestershire Police.

“And at this time we want people to work together to keep communities safe across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.”

- Any skills, experience and qualifications you have that can help support others.

“If you previously worked for Leicestershire Police, please provide your collar number and details of when you left the force,” said police.

“We will be in contact as soon as we can.”
