The Covid-19 rate in Harborough has dropped to one of the lowest in the country.

The district had the 14th fewest cases in the week ending May 26 in England – making it 296th in the national table of 315 areas.

There were just four new cases in Harborough that week, according to the latest Public Health England statistics.

That was a 75 per cent drop on the previous week as the district’s infection rate plunged to 4.3 per 100,000 people.
