Harborough District Council has today (Tuesday) closed its customer service desk at its Market Harborough headquarters.

The council’s acted to stop seeing people face-to-face at The Symington Building on Adam and Eve Street hours after Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s dramatic address to the nation.

Announcing the move on its Twitter page, the council say: “To protect our residents & staff, #Harborough District Council has taken the difficult decision to close our front-facing customer service.
