Dominie posted on the store’s Facebook page earlier today: “It’s with a heavy heart we have had to close the store until further notice.

“The safety of all staff, customers and families are at the forefront of our minds - therefore we have contacted all customers who were in the store on Sunday by email.”

She added: “We will re-open when we see fit to do so.

“In the meantime, please stay safe and keep up to date with our social media.

“Thanks from Dominie and the team at Bowden Stores.”

Dominie, a former brand consultant, opened up Bowden Stores at the end of 2016 – when she promised “ace coffee, fresh hearty food and great finds for the home”.
