“We’ve already given the surgery two webcams but they’ve got 12 doctors.

“So we would like at least another 10 webcams to help out their staff – and help patients at the same time.”

The big-hearted businessman added: “Their doctors want to do consultations from home with patients as they can’t do face-to-face any more.

“But patients would like to see who they are talking to.

“So the webcam will obviously make that possible and the whole process easier.”

Adrian, who set up Apograph Ltd in 1993 and who lives in Lubenham, said webcam prices had shot through the roof.

“I know one of the staff at the medical centre and they’re being quoted up to £150 a pop.

“And, of course, they’d be spending crucial taxpayers’ cash to buy these webcams.

“As a result of panic buying webcams are in short supply and prices have rocketed,” he said.

“So I thought we should launch our own appeal to the generous local public.

“We can also set up and install webcams for doctors.

“We’ll note down every serial number so we can give devices back to people when this crisis is over if needs be.

“We don’t want to see our NHS or its staff exploited for profit in these tough times.”
