Between 35,000 and 40,000 have now had the first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine in the Harborough district.

Latest NHS figures show 34,114 people have had the jab up to February 28 - and with vaccinations continuing, we can expect that the figure to be nearer the 40,000 mark.

Last week, we reported that the figure stood at 29,529 (which covered the period from December 8 to February 21).

This means there were 4,585 vaccinations over seven days between February 21 and February 28.
