'Welcome back!' - excitement as Harborough's indoor market fully reopens
Market Harborough is celebrating another landmark day as its famous Indoor Market is thrilled to be fully reopening today (Tuesday).
The historic town centre mart – which stretches back over 800 years to 1204 – is welcoming back all of its traders as well as a few new ones.

Hide AdAnd traders can’t wait to welcome back their regular army of shoppers and customers from across Harborough too.
So you can zip along and fill your boots as well as your bags at Market Harborough’s talismanic market just 24 hours after shops, hairdressers, beauty salons, pubs and cafes opened up again as the country’s Covid lockdown is lifted bit by bit.
Hundreds of excited shoppers streamed into the town in bright sunshine to nurse a pint, get their hair cut, do a bit of shopping and just enjoy the sights and sounds of our first real day of freedom since before Christmas.
