Home-owners have marked the first anniversary of a retirement complex in Market Harborough with a celebration to remember.

The special event went ahead at Elizabeth Place Retirement Living Plus development on Trimbush Way, off Rockingham Road.

Staff delivered a host of treats straight to the doors of delighted residents.

Each home-owner was treated to a bottle of fizz, chocolates and a slice of home-made cake baked by the development’s catering team.

Darren Yates, estates manager at Elizabeth Place, said: “It’s been an uncertain and challenging time for us all over the last few months.

“So it is wonderful that we can still celebrate the first year of our fantastic, friendly and thriving community, albeit at a distance.”

He added: “Our home-owners have remained optimistic and never lost faith, which shows just how resilient and strong they are.

“We all had a brilliant time enjoying the homemade treats from the bistro here at Elizabeth Place and raising a glass or two, even if we had to do it separately.

“We look forward to being able to have lots more fun as a community for many more years to come!”
